How we source this

What we do

We read each cruise line’s own published policy pages, record the answer in plain words, link back to the page we read it on, and stamp the date we read it. That is the whole method. Where a line does not publish an answer, we say so rather than guess.

What we do not do

• — We do not sell cruises on this site and we take no booking.
• — We publish no ratings and no reviews of any cruise line.
• — We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any cruise line.
• — We do not take payment from a cruise line to change, soften or reorder anything here.

This is a reference, not a live feed

The data is refreshed on a schedule, not in real time. A line can change a policy the day after we read it and this site will be wrong until the next run. That is why every answer carries the date it was checked, and why the answer to “can I rely on this?” is confirm it with the cruise line before you act on it.

Who writes it

It is maintained by people who book cruises for a living. If you ask a question through this site, a working cruise advisor answers it. That is a disclosure, not a pitch: we have an interest in cruising generally, and none in which line you pick.
